The Walkathon For My Brother's Table: 2008

Walk The Walk:
The 26th Annual Walkathon for My Brother's Table of Lynn is planned for TBA. Registration starts at 1:00PM and the walk is scheduled to begin at 1:30PM from the Church of the Holy Name, 60 Monument Ave. in Swampscott. All are invited to participate by walking or sponsoring a walker. Every walker gets a prize and free refreshments and there are awards for the most successful team and individuals. This year MBT will also hold it virtual walk for teams or individuals unable to participate.

The walk takes place along three miles of the scenic Lynn and Swampscott oceanfront. “It's a fun event for everyone,” says Mary Magner of My Brother's Table. “We have walkers from all over the North Shore , including individuals and teams from local churches and temples, schools and businesses. Especially as we are expecting to serve more meals this year, it is important to note that more than 95 percent of the money raised directly benefits the guests of My Brother's Table.” To ensure the privacy of its guests, My Brother's Table receives no government aid, is not a United Way affiliate, and depends on private and corporate donations to feed those in need. The Virtual Walkathon Is Live...Thanks For Walking With Us!

We have modeled our first ever "Virtual Walkathon" after our real-life Walkathon. We invite you to take part in either or both of these important walks to benefit My Brother's Table.

While our Annual Walkathon usually takes a couple of hours, our Virtual Walkathon will only take a fraction of that time. We hope you enjoy the facts and pictures as you click your way along the MBT Virtual Walkathon.

The colorful icons on the upper left will be your guide. Once you are ready to move to the next location simply click on the icon to advance.

At the end of the walk you will be given a couple of choices allowing you to proceed directly to our online donation website or to a page where you can download and print your Sponsorship Form for mailing to us.
