My Brother's Table is privately funded and does not receive nor seek federal, state, or local aid. We do this in order to insure the privacy of our guests and to serve the greatest number of people in need.
Funding comes from individual donations and events and private grants.
The Table also relies heavily on donated food from supermarkets, restaurants, food drives, and individuals for most of each meal served.
Visit our Funding page for more information.

2007 - MBT 25th ANNIVERSARY
The Year In Review
About 9,000 days ago Trinity Baptist Church of Lynnfield served the first meal to the guests of My Brother's Table on Union Street. We're starting to celebrate the 25 years and 2 million meals - served by 60,000 volunteers - that have followed. An October 24th event high lighted a quarter century of Big Meals and Small Miracles.

The Volunteer Corner
A special thanks to all the volunteers who showed up to serve during February 2007's cold and snowy weather. For example, on Valentine’s Day the volunteers from St. John’s Youth in Swampscott, coordinator Elaine Nylander and a number of other volunteers served 185 meals to guests who jumped over snow banks and trudged through puddles to get a hot turkey dinner prepared by volunteer cooks Tony and Joyce LaRosa. Desserts were baked by the students of the Hadley School in Swampscott.
Fionia Minney receives the "Office Volunteer of the Year" award at our 2004 Annual Meeting. Read more about our all important Volunteers and how we show our appreciation for the work they do on our Volunteer Appreciation page.
